Kimberly, AKA Nashville’s Boss Babe

I have to say I love Tuesdays! I get to feature a different person every week, and they all inspire me in such unique and different ways! I love how different we all are, and how we all have different talents and skills. It’s pretty cool. So I met Kimberly pretty naturally. We are neighbors! I saw her around all the time and thought, she’s super cute. Then I found out we are neighbors out where my shop is! We were meant to be friends. I started following her and just became really inspired by how much of a Boss babe she is! She’s an advocate for women entrepreneurs, and that’s probably why I gravitate towards her! I love girls who just go after it, really follow their dreams. And that is exactly what she is doing!! So, Check her out, meet Kimberly!

Tell us about yourself!

As an entrepreneur, I am a Partner and Artist Manager at Press Management Group as well as a Partner at Verticity, an indoor cycling studio opening in East Nashville this summer. I also write a weekly column for 12th & Broad where I get to “caffeinate with” other girlbosses and share my passion for self-development with the Nashville community. I love southern gothic music (think moody Americana), travel (Paris, New York, Oregon, and Atlanta are favorites), camping, yoga/running/cycling, speaking to young women and hopeful entrepreneurs, style and beauty, lululemon, and vinyl records.

What’s your fave song right now?

Carrie Underwood’s “Church Bells.” Did you see her performance from the ACM Awards, where she beat on the big drum like a warrior in a mini dress? Badass!

What’s your favorite style to wear?
My daily is lululemon leggings and soft tank or tee, with booties and my watch stacked with bracelets.

What’s your guilty pleasure snack-go-to?
I’m just finishing Whole 30 so I’ve been limited on snacks! I love pineapple if I need something sweet or brazil nuts if I’m at my desk or post-workout and need a quick handful of something. On the guiltier side, I’ll grab a petite vanilla scone or three at Starbucks.

What’s your MUST-HAVE beauty item you can’t live with out?
Black eyeliner. A little bit makes a big difference!

Who’s the most influential person in your life and why?
I’m lucky to be surrounded by incredible women who do great things and love so well. My business partner and best friend Lindsay especially influences me every day. I told her recently that she makes me stronger without requiring me to lose the part of myself that bends. That’s a gift to me, and a very rare thing. IMG_7896

What’s the 1 thing you want to accomplish that you haven’t yet?
Nashville is my home, but it isn’t my only home. I hope to someday own properties in New York, Portland, and several other cities so that I have homes in all of my “homes.”

What’s your favorite thing in your closet?
This one’s easy! My Alejandro Ingelmo heels. They’re a gorgeous black leather pump with a unique architectural upper heel. They’re the shoe version of the “little black dress” but are anything but basic. I got to work with the designer when I lived in New York, and getting to choose a pair of shoes was part of my contract. Will work for shoes, literally!

What’s your fave inspirational quote?
We built it into our mantra at Verticity: “Sweat is necessary for a healthy body and a full life.” I am a firm believer that an active lifestyle is part of the dedication to living your best life as your best self, and everyone should embrace the sweat. It goes beyond the gym and deeper than your abs.

Be sure to check Kimberly out and follow along with her on social media!
