TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

Hello! I’m Kirbee. My heart is in the kitchen. Cooking and baking have been monumental parts of my life since childhood. My best memories are in the kitchen! Great food is an opportunity to connect. Developing new recipes and orchestrating flavor profiles with delicious ingredients is my way channel passion and creativity into every bite. Food should be flavorful, creative, beautiful and most importantly, they should leave an impact! There are few things better than the seconds of contemplative silence that follow the first bite of food, then seeing the expression of pure enjoyment spread across a person’s face…Yep, that never gets old. I’ve been cooking since I was 5, and have not stopped since. I launched an online cooking show, KiNiMi Kitchen to share my inner foodie. I invite all types of people to get in the kitchen with me to explore culinary adventures, flavors and to connect. Next up, I’ll be releasing a line of KiNiMi Kitchen products that you can enjoy at home.

What’s your favorite song right now?

My absolute favorite classic song is “Stand By Me” by Percy Sledge it makes me cry evvvvverrrrrry. This has been my favorite song since I was a little girl.

What’s your favorite style to wear?

Comfy Classic! I am a fan of timeless looks that are easy on the go! I am a firm believer in having core classic pieces that can help you look your best at all times … even if you hit snooze a few times. Everyone needs those pieces that are cut well, are flattering and can be easily layered and interchanged.

What’s your guilty pleasure snack-go-to?

Hmmmm depends on the day. Sometimes I LOVE a helping of garlicy humus and delicious pita chips, some days I want a classic PB&J with creamy peanut butter and strawberry preserves…. However, ICE CREAM would be my go-to on any given day. That’s why I don’t keep it in the house.

What’s your MUST-HAVE beauty item that you can’t live without?

With a good tube of mascara, I can conquer the world!

Who’s the most influential person in your life and why?

I would have to say my mother. She is the epitome of strength and resilience. As an adult I learning to appreciate her lessons and selflessness even more.

What’s the one thing you want to accomplish that you haven’t yet?

I haven’t traveled all the places I’d like to go. However, my passport is ready for some more stamps …

If you could give someone some great life advice, what would it be?

Spend time getting to know yourself. Unpack your life goals, independent of what others think. It is liberating. Spend time loving yourself, for real. Not just via selfies, but really deep down loving you like the best friend that you would forgive for anything. When we learn to give ourselves some grace, we can truly excel in this one life that you have.

What’s your fave inspirational quote?

Tough call I have a few: “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.”― Henry Ford and “Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.” – Tony Robbins. These quotes reminds me that my direction in life is first determined by my mindset!  These quotes challenge me to stay focused on what I want to manifest in my life vs what I lack.

Where is one place you’d love to travel to?

Maldives! It looks like PURE relaxation

What drives you and gives you passion in your profession?

I am fueled by improvement and passion! I love providing creative solutions to issues for process improvement. I am passionate about passion lol.  I am not a fan of beige mediocrity or the status quo, I love to help those around me to excel and challenge themselves to be better than yesterday. Strive for progress not perfection.
