Littlest Love, Bakery + Bar.

If you know anything about me….you know I love me some desserts, and of course drinks. You really (in my opinion) can’t have one without the other. So when I started following Lyndi on her delicious food and drink adventures, I was hooked! I look forward to her pictures everyday, and find myself salivating when I’m looking at all of her yummy creations. She’s opening a retail bakery and bar soon, and you better believe I will be a regular there! I also love anyone that loves jogger pants as much as I do:) I am inspired by her and I knew I wanted her to be a part of TPLL Blog! I’m so excited for you all to get to know her too! Be sure to also be on the lookout for all she’s doing! Meet Littlest Love!

Tell us about yourself!

Growing up, I was not a “foodie.” I was a grilled cheese traditionalist (white bread, Kraft singles) and a lover of anything sweet. Most specifically, Oma cookies. These Oma cookies held a special magic in every crunchy bite. Me and my siblings would race up the steps to our Oma’s house and scramble to be the first kid to call dibs on the cookie jar. Even my dad joined in the race. To this day, they taste just as good to adults and kids alike.

Just the site of an Oma cookie brings back the feelings of her love, her glorious stubbornness and her passion for perfection. The reminder of how she had to warm the butter to an exact temperature and roll out the dough to just the right width. And the sheer genius of the sprinkles and sugar topping. My Oma found the perfect balance of homemade simplicity and culinary integrity.

My goal is to ensure Littlest Love is just that. The perfect balance of simplicity and integrity that Nashville craves. The ball is officially rolling on a retail bakery and bar, to be located in one of Nashville’s many growing neighborhoods. I’m looking forward to being part of this incredible movement happening in our fine city. Follow along on Instagram or on the Littlest Blog for the latest news!

What’s Your Fave Song?

It’s actually more of a Spotify station… it’s called “Throwback Covers” and it is sooo good. New, indie artists singing Blackstreet, Michael Jackson, NSYNC, you name it. It plays on repeat on our Sonos at home.

What’s Your favorite style?

I’m attempting the capsule wardrobe, so I’d say minimalist. Is that a style? Anything flowy and comfortable. Also, is gym-chic a thing? I also pick that.

What’s your Guilty pleasure snack-go-to?

Popcorn. That’s actually more of my lunch than a “snack” most days… Also, those Maple Sea Salt RX Bars are my new go-to if I’m somewhere that doesn’t have a microwave or a stovetop.

What is your must-have beauty item?

Beauty Counter tinted moisturizer with SPF. It’s so light and dewy, and makes me look like I’m wearing makeup, which is great because I never wear it!

Who would you say is the most influential person in your life?
It’s hard to pick just one, but in this moment I have to say Kate Moore. She owns GetFit615 – an amazing gym – and she’s taught me a lot about creating your own joy. We bonded over our mutual love for coffee soda, working out and cookie sandwiches, and I just love her perspective on life and how it’s trickled into my world. I’m a different, kinder person than I was a year ago when we met. I’m so grateful for her for empowering me to be the best version of myself!
What’s one thing that you want to accomplish that you haven’t yet?
That’s a loaded question! I’m so Type A, so that list is a mile long. I want to accomplish opening a store front. That’s top of mind for me right now…

What’s the most Favorite thing in your closet?
My jogger pants from Target… I’m wearing them right now. They’re so comfortable, and they make it look like I’m not wearing pajamas, even though, let’s face it, I totally am. Or maybe everybody can tell? I don’t know, it makes me feel better to pretend.
What’s your Favorite inspirational quote?
“You’ve got brains in your head, you’ve got feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.” The whole “Oh the places you’ll go” book is full of inspiration and the simple understanding that you are capable of so much if you can cope with failures and learn to be resilient. It’s all you can do in this world, because you’re going to see successes and failures no matter what!
