Olivia Shea Style
When I find another person who has a major passion for Taco Bell, I know we are destined to be friends. This girl is full of joy, and you can see that in any one of her pics. I met Miss Olivia at a fun event I held, and she was so sweet. I have enjoyed following her for cute outfit tips and tricks, and did I mention, we are both obsessed with Taco Bell. (we just might be working on some fun things there. More to come….) I’m so excited to be featuring Olivia on the blog today! She is the cutest, and has the best style, and we can all learn from her! Meet Olivia!
Tell Us About yourself!
Hi, I’m Olivia! I live in Nashville with my boyfriend of 5 years, our 1 year old Border Collie, Euler (sounds like Oiler) and our two black tail-less cats, Carlo (yes, named after the cheap jugs of wine) and Queenie. We like to joke that our apartment is basically a zoo, and the animals run the place! I’m originally from Seattle, but moved to Nashville 6 years ago to study Music Business at Belmont University. While going to Belmont, I started working part time at Francesca’s and would take photos of my work outfit every day so that I could keep track of what I had already worn or use outfits I liked as inspiration for later. After a while, I made a separate Instagram account to post the pictures on, but didn’t tell ANYONE about it because blogging wasn’t as much of a thing then (this was about 4 years ago) so I honestly thought it was really weird! Even my boyfriend didn’t know for months! I finally told my friends and family about it because I loved helping women to find outfits that made them feel confident and great about themselves at work, and I thought that through blogging, I might be able to do that on a larger scale.
What’s your favorite song right now?
Literally anything on Caitlyn Smith’s new Starfire album! I’m honestly obsessed. If I had to narrow it down, my top 4 would probably be House of Cards, Scenes From a Corner Booth at Closing Time, Tacoma, and This Town is Killing Me. But they’re all SO good! I couldn’t choose just one! Haha
What’s your favorite style to wear?
I love anything that’s both comfortable and cute! Lately I’ve been obsessing over the Spanx faux leather leggings and I’ve literally been wearing them like 4 times a week.
Taco Bell! I usually get the cheesy gordita crunch or the beefy five layer burrito with creamy jalapeno sauce and a baja blast! If I’m feeling extra adventurous I’ll get the $5 cravings box because it has both, and a crunchy taco, and cinnamon twists!
What’s your MUST HAVE beauty item that you can’t live without?
Lash Extensions (does that count?) or false lashes! I literally have the SHORTEST natural lashes! Also, Too Faced Sun Bunny bronzer. I’ve been using it for years and have gone through like 3 of them. I’ve tried so many different things for contouring and I just keep coming back to it. It’s the best!
Who’s the most influential person in your life and why?
I feel like this is such an obvious cop out answer, but definitely my parents. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized how much of what I do, the decisions I make and who I am is a reflection of them.
What’s one thing you want to accomplish that you haven’t yet?
I’d love to run my own business one day! I think it would be so much fun to open an online boutique!
If you could give someone some great life advice, what would it be?
Don’t let any day be labeled as a “bad day.” Try to find something good in even the worst days and focus on that, and if that doesn’t work, treat yourself to a glass of wine or a bubble bath at the end of the day to end it on a good note!
What’s your favorite inspirational quote?
“Friendship with oneself is all-important because without it one cannot be friends with anyone else in the world.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Where is one place you’d love to travel to?
I’ve always wanted to go to Thailand!
What drives you and gives you passion in your profession?
I guess currently my profession is blogging, and I started my blog because I wanted to give other women fashion inspiration and advice that would help them dress to feel confident and good about themselves.
