Who’s that girl…….IT’S JESS!

Have you ever met someone and just instantly you were inspired by them , and you knew you had to get to know that person? Well when I met Jess, that’s exactly how I felt! She is not only gorgeous, but kind, passionate, and trying to live her life to the fullest, which is my kind of talk. I appreciate someone who is authentic. I love following along with her and her adventures. Her and her hubby are actually some of our neighbors, and I love when I see her out with her adorable little baby boy. Oh, and she’s blonde, so you know I like blondes:) I want you all to get to know her too! So meet Jess!

Hello, I’m Jess Ness!  I recently woke up and realized that I’m not fully living as who I am meant to be, but am living the life I thought I was supposed to.

Up to this point, I’ve lived my life checking off all the boxes; graduate college, get married, corporate job, buy a house, MBA, have a kid, drive nice cars, live for the weekend, wake-up miserable every Monday morning. You know the story.

Recent major life events (rough patch in my marriage, becoming a parent, among others) and encouragement from my amazingly inspiring community of friends sparked questions. Why am I living life this way? I’m always stressed, worried, unhappy. Do I love what I’m doing? What are my true passions?

What I do know is that I have the best and coolest husband ever, my community of friends is irreplaceable, I’m obsessed with our squishy son, I love learning, thrive off of inspiring and connecting with others and travelling is life giving. The rest of my life is a complete discovery project. I’m excited to share it with you.

“You either walk into your story and own your truth, or you live outside of your story, hustling for your worthiness.” – Brene Brown

I’m done hustling for worthiness, I’m here to be wholehearted and own my truth.

What’s your fave song right now?

Formation by Beyonce because I slay 🙂

What’s your favorite style to wear?

Since I had a baby 3 months ago, I’m having to figure out my style all over again. I used to be all about the heels and dresses, but neither of those work well when you’re carrying a baby and breastfeeding all the time. So, I’m exploring the world of athleisure and I’m loving how much more comfortable I am now!

What’s your guilty pleasure snack-go-to?

Coconut macaroons or Almond Dream Toffee “Ice Cream”

What’s your MUST-HAVE beauty item you can’t live with out?

Too Faced’s Better Than Sex mascara (and if I’m allowed a second item, my Anastasia brow kit)

Who’s the most influential person in your life and why?

My husband, hands down. He’s my best friend, my partner in crime and voice of reason. I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am today without knowing him.

What’s the 1 thing you want to accomplish that you haven’t yet?

A goal I used to have for myself was to make a Forbe’s list like “30 Under 30” or “Most Powerful Women.” Now, I couldn’t care less about those titles and public recognition. My current goal that I haven’t accomplished yet is to live fully in the moment and to stop worrying my life away.

What’s your favorite thing in your closet?

Peter Nappi boots

What’s your favorite inspirational quote?

“How will you serve the world? What do they need that your talent can provide? That’s all you have to figure out. The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is because ultimately we are not the avatars we create, we are not the pictures on the film stock. We are the light that shines through. All else is just smoke and mirrors, distracting but not truly compelling. That piece we’re after lies somewhere beyond personality, beyond the perception of others, beyond invention and disguise, even beyond effort itself. You can join the games, fight the wars, play with form all you want but to find real peace you have to let the armor go. Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world. Don’t let anything stand in the way of the light that shines through this form. RISK being seen in all of your glory.” – Jim Carey
